This Past Sunday…

We are continuing our journey through Paul’s letter to the Romans, a profound and foundational exploration of the gospel.

We start with “The Gospel: Right With God” (Romans 1–4), where Paul confronts our need for salvation and reveals how the gospel meets that need. Through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus, God provides the righteousness we could never achieve on our own. These chapters lay the groundwork for understanding justification by faith and the transformative grace of God.

Application Questions:

  1. When am I tempted to hide my faith, and what keeps me from being bold?

  2. Do I trust the gospel’s power, or do I rely on my ability to persuade?

  3. Am I resting in Christ’s righteousness, or am I still trying to earn it?

  4. Does my life clearly reflect the gospel to those around me? If not, what needs to change?

Kids Moment

This coming week in Mission Kids we will be looking, when the people complained.

Bible Story Summary:

•God’s people walked in the wilderness for 40 years; they complained a lot.

•Once, the people were very thirsty—they wished they were still in Egypt. God told Moses to speak to a rock so water would come out for the people to drink.

•Later, the people complained again. They did not like their food, and they were thirsty. God let snakes come and bite the people.

•The people asked Moses to pray for God’s help. God said, “Make a bronze snake and put it on a pole. Whoever looks at the snake will be healed.”

•When the people looked at the snake, God healed them.

Review Questions:

•Why did God punish the people by sending snakes?

•Can you think of something good God has done for you this week?
