Dec 8th-15th

This Past Sunday…

This Advent, we invite you to journey with us through God’s redemptive story, from the depths of humanity’s need to the glorious arrival of Jesus Christ. Together, we’ll see how the promises of old find their fulfillment in the Savior who brings hope, peace, and eternal joy. Celebrate the wonder of the gospel and the gift of Emmanuel—God with us.

Application Questions:

  1. In what ways have I strayed like a sheep, seeking fulfillment or safety outside of God's boundaries?

  2. Do I grasp the weight of my sin and the cost Jesus bore as the Lamb of God?

  3. Am I trying to carry the burden of my sin on my own, or have I surrendered it to Jesus?

  4. How is God calling me to respond to the Lamb today?

Together, we’ll celebrate the light of Christ breaking into the darkness and the joy of Emmanuel—God with us.

Wishing Regan Well

This week, we want to take a moment to celebrate and pray for Regan as he steps off staff with Mission Church to begin a new chapter as the Interim Area Director for Young Life in Burke County. Regan has been a vital part of our church family, and his heart for the gospel and discipleship has blessed so many.

While Regan is stepping into this new role, we’re thrilled that he will continue to be a member of Mission Church and lead our hospitality team. His presence and leadership will remain a blessing to our church family.

We are excited to see how God will use Regan to reach and disciple students through Young Life, and we encourage you to join us in praying for him during this transition. Please take a moment to wish him well and express your gratitude for his service here at Mission Church. Let’s continue to support him as he takes this step of faith!

Starting in January we will be adding a new classroom for our PreK kiddos. What a joy and honor it is to serve our Mission Kids!

Kids Moment

This coming week in Mission Kids we will be looking at when Moses parted the Red Sea.

Bible Story Summary:

•God led His people out of Egypt to the edge of the Red Sea. God said Pharaoh and his army would chase after the Israelites, and they did.

•God rescued His people by parting the Red Sea. The Israelites walked safely through on dry ground.

•When the Egyptians tried to cross the Red Sea, God made the water crash down on them, and they died.

Review Questions:

•How did the Israelites show faith in God (Heb. 11:29)?

•Why is faith in Jesus the only way to be saved?
