Feb 23rd- March 2nd

This Past Sunday…

We are continuing our journey through Paul’s letter to the Romans, a profound and foundational exploration of the gospel.

We start with “The Gospel: Right With God” (Romans 1–4), where Paul confronts our need for salvation and reveals how the gospel meets that need. Through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus, God provides the righteousness we could never achieve on our own. These chapters lay the groundwork for understanding justification by faith and the transformative grace of God.

Application Questions:

1. What sins am I currently trying to keep hidden while condemning others with my thoughts, words, or posture?

2. How does understanding Christ as our defender change the way we handle criticism, failure, or opposition?

3. Is my confession of sin shrouded with excuses, comparisons to others, or other justifications?

4. In what ways do we sometimes act as if our good works earn us favor with God, even though we know we are saved by grace?
