This Past Sunday…

As we end one year and begin another, we’re focusing on the unchanging foundation of God’s Word. In our new sermon series, Word-Shaped People, we’ll explore how Scripture transforms our lives and equips us for God’s mission. Join us as we reflect on the past and step into the future rooted in the gospel and the power of God’s Word.

Application Questions:

  1. Am I intentionally aligning my actions, thoughts, and desires with God’s Word? What areas of my life need greater attention to His truth?

  2. Do I truly delight in God’s Word as a treasure greater than material wealth? How can I foster joy through His promises this week?

  3. Am I meditating on God’s Word and fixing my eyes on His ways, or am I distracted by lesser things? What steps can I take to refocus?

  4. What specific change can I make this week to deepen my engagement with Scripture—through reading, memorizing, or sharing it with others?

Announcements

Starting this Sunday we will embark on a new sermon series through the book of Romans.

The Gospel: Right With God. (Romans 1-4)

This month we will begin our journey through Paul’s letter to the Romans, a profound and foundational exploration of the gospel. Over the next two years, we will study this letter in four parts, delving into the depth of God’s righteousness and His redemptive plan through Christ.

We start with “The Gospel: Right With God” (Romans 1–4), where Paul confronts our need for salvation and reveals how the gospel meets that need. Through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus, God provides the righteousness we could never achieve on our own. These chapters lay the groundwork for understanding justification by faith and the transformative grace of God.

Join us as we marvel at the gospel’s power to reconcile us to God and its implications for every part of our lives.

Kids Moment

This coming week in Mission Kids we will be looking at building the Tabernacle.

Bible Story Summary:

•God commanded Moses to build a tabernacle—a special tent for God to dwell with His people.

•The Israelites gave gold, silver, animal skins, precious stones, and yarn toward building the tabernacle.

•Many people with special skills worked to build the tabernacle and all its furnishings.

•When the tabernacle was complete, God’s glory filled it.

Review Questions:

•Why was the tabernacle built?

•Why do we not need a tabernacle today?
