Clean-Up Day Thank You!
Friends,
Earlier this week, I shared a few words with our men, but as I walked through the church after this incredible clean-up day, I feel it even more deeply. My heart is overflowing with gratitude for each and every one of you.
This week, I found myself reflecting on Nehemiah 3—a chapter that’s easy to pass by. It's a list of people who rebuilt the wall around Jerusalem, but what truly struck me was how every person, no matter the size of their contribution, was vital to God’s work. They each built their section, and God saw it, valued it, and recorded it in Scripture. In the same way, your faithfulness and hard work today did not go unnoticed.
As I stood looking at the progress on the new stage, my mind flooded with all the future moments that will unfold there—the songs of worship that will rise to heaven, the sermons that will proclaim the gospel, the babies that will be dedicated, and the baptisms that will declare new life in Christ. And as I walked through the fellowship hall, imagining kids’ classrooms, prayer spaces, and rooms for theological teaching, foster care support, and so much more, I was filled with excitement for what God is doing here. The potential is overwhelming, and I believe He’s just getting started.
Whether you pulled weeds, filled dumpsters, hung TVs, vacuumed, carried out old carpet, or helped in any other way—know this: what you did matters! You’re not just cleaning a building; you’re laying a foundation for eternal work. You’re part of what God is doing here, and your efforts will bear fruit for years to come.
I’m so thankful for the way you all take ownership of this mission with us. Let’s continue to pray and trust that God will bring many from death to life in this very space.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for your diligence, your service, and your hearts. I am truly, deeply grateful for each of you.
For The Gospel,
Pastor Billy
